So their message is “If you think things are bad today…remember how bad they used to be?”
Regardless of what the NHL tries to do – there will be complaints. You’ve got XX million hockey fans who are passionate about their team and the game. Those fans will find something to complain about. The complaints are just different now – no consistency in discipline/suspensions, not effectively addressing head shots, etc.
Good attempt by the NHL – but it won’t stop the complainers.
